8-year-old Mohd Harith Danial Errman was counting his ‘duit raya’ in the living room of his grandmother’s house in Kampung Bukit Awang, Pasir Puteh when a package fell from the ceiling and exploded in front of him.
Harith was then rushed to the Hospital Besut before being placed in the Intensive Care Unit at Hospital University Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Kubang Kerian.
Harith receive numerou stitches around his mouth too. When the incident happened, his parents were still in Kuala Lumpur on holiday. However, his father, Errman Mohd Yusof, 35, rushed back home once he heard of the incident.
