Muslim dog trainer Maznah Mohd Yusof did not only cause an unnecessary controversy with her video, but it has apparently warranted Malay rights group Perkasa to want a fatwa on dog-handling.
Secretary-general Syed Hassan Syed Ali suggested that instead of criticizing Maznah, or Chetz, the authorities should’ve asked themselves how this happened. He also still wants her punished.
“This is a sensitive issue. If this video was shot by a non-Muslim it is understandable as they don’t understand Islam… but this has been done by a Muslim which makes it severe, he said.
He added that the younger generation also appeared to be confused over what is hall or haram.
Chetz was just released from prison but will be required to present herself if needed in the future, but if she fails to appear, she will be fined RM10,000. [Source]
