Mars is nominated in four “Video Music Award” categories this year, including “Video of the Year,” “Best Pop Video,” and “Best Male Video” for “Locked Out of Heaven,” and “Best Choreography” for “Treasure”. Also, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis is tying Justin Timberlake where both of them received six VMA nominations this year.
New faces of Pop will be introduced during the pre-show, Austin Mahone and Ariana Grande will be featured with Australian DJ/Producer Duo Nervo spinning live from the Red Carpet session on that very event.

MTV announced today that superstar, singer-songwriter, producer and actor, Justin Timberlake is set to solidify his musical legacy on MTV and pop culture history with an unforgettable performance as he takes the stage on the 2013 “MTV Video Music Awards” and joins the exclusive list of legendary artists to receive the “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award”.
Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke join previously announced VMA performers Lady Gaga, Kanye West and Katy Perry. Additional 2013 “MTV Video Music Awards” performers will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned because there’s more to come!

It’s official! Lady Gaga is returning to the stage at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on 25th August to premiere her first single from ARTPOP, at Brooklyn’s Barclay Centre.
The VMA stage is where the pop diva will make her comeback after hip surgery earlier this year. Lady Gaga is the first performer confirmed for the MTV VMAs.
