The month of July is nothing but tragic when a 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit China’s western Gansu province killing 11 people, and leaving 81 people seriously injured.
According to the official Xinhua news agency, the earthquake hit Minxian County and Zhangxian County, about 170 km from the province’s capital Lanzhou, at 7:45 a.m. It then followed by a second 5.6 earthquake struck the same region at 9:12 a.m.
The United States Geological Survey said the initial quake had a magnitude of 5.9
