During the week, sex bloggers Alvin and Vivian caused a stir when they posted a distasteful picture of them wishing ‘Selamat Berbuka Puasa” with them savouring bak kut teh, and misusing the ‘halal’ stamp.
Malaysian netizens were especially annoyed by the insensitive message they posted, to the point where MCA committee members had to intervene and express their anger at what a ‘serious insult’ their picture is. Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commissions (MCMC) reported they had received numerous complains about the offensive picture too.
The couple then apologized and replaced the same photo by replacing the bak kut teh with other Malay delicacies, but it wasn’t enough.
