You’ll be surprised to know that eight out of World’s Top 10 Airlines were actually Asian airlines, and Malaysia Airlines made it to the 14th spot in the Top 20 list. Malaysia Airlines earned a spot above Thai Airways in the list too!
The winners of the 2013 World Airline Awards were unveiled at the annual Paris Air Show. Emirates regained its #1 honour from Qatar Airlines which has won the top spot for the past two years.
Up to 18 million customer-satisfaction surveys have been collected from travelers across 160 countries in the past year to rank the best airlines in the world. The results were tabulated by Skytrax, a UK-based consultancy which conducts research for commercial airlines.
