10-Minute Breakfast Recipes

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. A nutritious breakfast with the right proportions of carbs and proteins can keep you energized throughout the day and even lowers the chances of overeating. With our busy schedules, a lot of us are prone to skipping breakfast with the excuse that there’s no time to prepare and enjoy it. Here are some quick 10-minute breakfast recipes that you can whip up in a matter of minutes, and they’re as nutritious as they are tasty!

Cinnamon Honey Toast
2 slices of bread
2 tbsp of honey
1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder
Butter

Toast both slices of bread and spread a layer of butter. Spread the honey on the toast and then sprinkle a few pinches of cinnamon on top. Serve with fruits on top like a pancake or decorate with a few sprinkles of powdered sugar.

Cereal Yogurt Parfait
1 pack of low-fat yogurt
1 cup of your choice of cereal
1 tsp of honey

Grab a mug or bowl and pour in a some cereal. Lay it flat and then apply a layer of yogurt. Repeat until the cup is almost full, and then pour the honey on top. Garnish with a few berries and enjoy with a spoon.

Spiced Banana Smoothie
2 bananas
1 cup of yogurt
1/4 tsp of cinnamon
1 pinch of nutmeg
1 tbsp of honey
1 pinch of cardamom
1 tbsp of almond slices
1/2 cup of low-fat or soy milk

Chop bananas into small pieces and then place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend, and serve in a tall glass.

Breakfast Pizza
2 slices of bread
4 tbsp of scrambled eggs
6 slices of pepperoni or salami
3 tbsp mozzarella cheese

On each slice of bread, place a few pieces of pepperoni and top with a scoop of scrambled eggs. Finish off by sprinkling some cheese over the bread and put it in the toaster over. Add a pinch of black pepper to taste.

Nutella-Banana Toast
2 slices of bread
4 tbsp of Nutella
2 bananas

Spread a layer or two of Nutella on the slices of toast. Slice up a few thin layers of banana and place them on top of your bread.

Fresh Strawberry Parfait
1/4 cup of muesli
10 strawberries sliced or chopped
1 cup of yogurt

In a cup or mug, fill up mug with a layer of muesli, then strawberries and then a layer of yogurt, and continue each layer until mug is almost full.. Top with a teaspoon of honey to taste, and garnish with leftover strawberries if any.
