If you’re always getting bored with the tops you buy three months ago, it’s time to revamp them a little bling. We know how it feels to have a piece of clothing that your entire office has seen you in like a million times. If you find it hard to give that shirt up, then some rhinestones and bling will be enough to give it a new look!

It’s extremely easy to revamp your clothes with rhinestones, and you can really get it done in just a day with hardly any effort.

You will need:

• An old blouse or shirt
• Rhinestones (You can also use studs, feathers or embellishment jewels)
• Costume glue

Lay your garment out and place the rhinestones by the sleeve. Have a look and navigate if there’s a certain design you’d like to create. Take a picture of your design if you have to!

If you’re using glue, don’t forget to place a piece of plastic under the fabric to avoid gluing the fabric together. Once that’s done, glue the embellishments on the sleeve. We decided to place the rhinestones around the collar instead of the sleeve.

Make sure the base of the rhinestones are clean so that the glue sticks to it better.  Feel free to get creative with the placements of your design. As this piece is your own, and there really is no right or wrong way of doing it.

Let the glue dry for about 24 hours. Avoid moving it around if you want the rhinestones to stay.

Don’t limit this trick to only your tops. If you have a black dress from last Christmas that feels a little awkward, simply glue on some rhinestones, and you’ve got yourself a new cocktail dress!

Rhinestones and costume glue were purchased from Art Friend at The Gardens, Mid Valley.
