She glowed gracefully in front of cameras and red carpets. But who would’ve thought that Demi Lovato already had suicidal tendencies at the age of 7?
20-year-old Disney superstar Demi Lovato revealed that her tough past began as early as her first gig on Barney & Friends. “Even before Barney, I was suicidal, and I was 7,” she said.
Although Demi opened up about her teenage struggles such as bipolar disorder, bulimia, she still didn’t share much of her childhood years: “I’ve talked about being bullied and the years of being a teenager, but I went through things when I was younger that I’ve never talked about that probably caused me to turn out the way I ended up turning out.”
Last week, her father Patrick, passed away at the age of 54. She is still dealing with the recent death of her dad.
For now, the singer is concentrating on her bright future which also includes her milestone, her 21st birthday: “I’m so looking forward of my birthday as celebrating another year of life,” she says.
