If there’s one thing we really love, is the thought that peace is finally settling in Lahad Datu. Since March 15, the war between the Sulu “terrorists” and Malaysians have claimed the lives of 68 Sulus and 10 Malaysians.
Ops Daulat, the operation to flush out armed Sulu intruders since March 15, has officially ended yesterday.
Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman, who is the state security council chairman, said that Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) was now responsible to put in place security arrangements and undertake operations under the Ops Daulat area. ESSCOM has now adopted a new operational codename Ops Sanggah, Musa said during a special appreciation parade for Ops Daulat.
It’s certainly good to know that the community in Lahad Datu can go on with their lives now, but the lives loss will never be forgotten. (Source)
