Vivian, or Alvin and Vivian fame, was unfortunately a victim of snatch theft violence just this morning.

Vivian was walking alone next to a condominium at approximately 3.30am around the main road of Jalan Ipoh. A large Indian man was walking menacingly towards her. He shoved her against a tree and threatened her to give him her money or else he’ll cut her with his knife.

Vivian tried to negotiate with man, telling him that she will will give him her money, but he must return her identification, license and bank cards. However, the man did not care and snatched her wallet, along with her house keys, and ran towards his friend waiting on a motorcycle, and sped off.

She survived the incident with three wounds – a deep cut on her upper right cut, a small one on her right palm, and a cut on her left cheek.

Vivian walked back to her apartment. Thesecurity guard at the lobby wrapped up her wound before sending her up to Alvin.  Alvin said Vivian was sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment. “She is now awaiting surgery under local anaesthesia for stitching and possibly tendon reconstruction, because she can’t seem to flex/straighten out her fingers,” he said. (Source)

Anyone can be a victim to snatch theft, so ladies, remember to be cautious wherever you go, anytime of the day.  We wish Vivian a speedy recovery.
