In February, we discovered a piece of research that suggests that sperm acts as a remedy against depression for women. But now, science is suggesting that sperm can soon be added to the list of ‘Superfoods‘.
According to Columbia Health, human male ejaculation contains fructose sugar, water, Vitamin C, citric acid, enzymes, protein, zinc and more. It’s pretty much a protein-rich energy concoction.
The key term is sperm consumption, not “swallowing”. Some women consume male ejaculate and sperm as if they were good, using the nutrients to fuel their own bodies as well as their eggs.
Lead author, Benjamin Wegener, researcher at Monash University’s School of Biological Sciences explains:
“If males have their sperm consumed, rather than used for egg fertilization, they will lose that reproductive opportunity. Therefore, it is in the male’s best interests to try to ensure at least some of his sperm reaches the female’s eggs”.
In short, consuming (not swallowing) sperm is good for women because it not only give you a string of various nutrients, but it’ll also aid in your body to produce fertile eggs.
We’ll let the “consumers” decide for themselves, but if you’re really keen on healthy fertilization, this might be a good “organic” try.
