Nestlé Breakfast Cereals Commits to Improve Better Nutrition

Not only is breakfast the first meal of the day, but it’s also a meal that delivers benefits like providing the body with a blast of energy in the morning, which has been proven to reduce the risk of overweight and obesity.
The Nestlé Breakfast Cereal division recently made a global commitment to reformulate its line of cereals for children and teenagers such as HONEY STARS and KOKO KRUNCH, making it healthier and more nutritious without compromising the deliciousness of the favourite household brands.

Coming to Malaysia to speak at  “Translating Nutrition Science into Nutrition Commitment”, is Corporate Nutrition Science Manager, Dr. Frank Thielecke from Cereal Partners Worldwide, which is a joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills. Dr. Thielecke will be sharing information on the Company’s nutrition commitment and efforts in improving its cereal offerings.
Nestlé Breakfast Cereals has four major objectives to produce a better breakfast products. Nestlé strongly agrees that  breakfast is vital because it has a positive effect on cognitive performance. A nutritious breakfast can helps to supply nutrients after a night sleep and provides important nutrients to improve diet quality. A good breakfast cereals helps to maintain body weight as well.

Nestlé Breakfast Cereals are nutrient dense as they’re rich in nutrients compared to their calorie content. High fibres, high vitamins, high calcium and high iron; and low intakes of fat and sodium. Research shows that consumption of breakfast cereals is associated with lower BMI, milk consumption and more adequat nutrient intakes.
Do you know that Nestlé Breakfast Cereals are also made with whole grain cereals? Evidence shows that 9 out of 10 people do not reach whole grain recommendations. Consuming whole grains can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, lower BMI, lower the tendency to gain weight and also have a better sensitivity to insuline.
Nestlé Breakfast Cereals commits to produce cereals with more whole grain that any other ingredient and act as a good source of calcium per serving. Children and teens will enjoy their marvellous breakfast with low sugar, low salt, high calcuim and whole grain. Nestlé Breakfast Cereals beleives that good food is the foundation of good life and is commited to providing its consumers with healthier and convenient food options, thus making healthy diets easily achievable for Malaysians.
