5 Ways to Look Stylish in Dungarees

Dungarees and overalls are back! We were pretty certain this 90s-inspired trend was staying in the 90s, but boy we were wrong. It’s creeping its way into 2013’s summer trend list and boy has it made some chic improvements.
Before you scare yourself with the thought of looking like a farmer or  toddler, check out how these stars have rocked the look and learn how to do so yourself.

TV presenter Jameela Jamil dresses up this short pair of dungarees by pairing them with a chiffon shirt underneath, giving the dungarees a more formal look. Paired with an oversized white blazer and a pastel bag and shoes, she nails several trends all in one! This is a great way to keep your outfit smart but quirky. TIP: Top it off with a chic pair of heels like Jameela for added sophistication. 

In typical bad-gal Rihanna style, we would expect nothing less of her than to make a crazy twist on an old trend. For those of you who want to be extra unique, this is for you. Or if you are nor sure of going all out in denim, this crop top can be paired with different bottoms, still allowing you in on the dungaree trend. Rihanna designed the crop top for her range with River Island.

Fresh faced model, Atlanta De Cadenet has gone for the easiest way to look good in dungarees, opting for a pair with a cute skirt. Easy to dress up or down, she has gone for a more dressy look by wearing tights and heels, but still keeping it laid back with a cute floral top underneath, also another huge trend at the moment!

Style icon Alexa Chung never seizes to amaze – she is able to style anything and look effortless fashionable! Here, she has taken the plunge and gone for the full classic dungarees, however styled immaculately. Being quite a masculine rough look, Alexa has softened the dungarees with a delicate blouse and small floral clutch. Easily unflattering for the legs, Alexa has combatted this by rolling up the bottoms of her dungarees and pairing with a pair of metallic platforms, giving her extra length and a touch of feminity to the overall look.

Not so into denim on you but still wish to adorn this adorable trend? Take after Made In Chelsea star, Millie Mackintosh and opt for a more pinafore style piece, it has the same cute look but may be easier to style and wear if you’re not too into denim and enjoy being in more neutral tones.
