A quick little run in our local political scene before we say hello to Friday – it appears that the Malaysian Twittersphere is bursting with madness after Nurul Izzah, Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai was denied entry into Sabah! She was denied the right to counsel and to celebrate Kaamatan with her fellow Malaysians.
Yep, she tweeted it herself:
Apparently, the Sabah Chief Minister may have something to do with this.
Now, we’re not hardcore political news agents and while we like to keep our voices neutral in the Malaysian political scene, isn’t a little juvenile for a state chief minister to deport a Malaysian out of her OWN COUNTRY? In the words of Kim Kardashian denying her Botox injections during pregnancy, “IT IS ABSURD!”
And like anyone who would react to denying entry into their own country, Nurul Izzah was definitely not happy!
Despite it all, she still remained positive when she tweeted:
“Dear Sabahans, happy #Kaamatan. I’m sorry I can’t be with u. But remember our bond as Malaysians remains stronger then ever”.
Man, this woman’s a martyr! But not to worry, Nurul Izzah should be on her way back to KL now, so if your near the LCCT vicinity, you should give her a big “homecoming”!
