We all want to look trendy and look good right? Keeping up with the latest trends is already one challenge, but what about making sure that it complements your figure? Finding the right clothing that suits your figure doesn’t have to be hard. All you have to do is identify your body measurements, and soon you’ll know what to shop for and what you’ll look amazing in!
Apple: You are apple shaped when your bust is three or more inches larger than your hips. With this body type you will want to draw the attention to your legs and buttocks, drawing away from your waist and accentuating your bust and neck. Avoid waist belts and skirts/ dresses that draw in at the waist. For this body type you will want to wear looser, more flowing tops with an empire waist.
Straight/ rectangular: This is when your waist is just about the same size as your hips, or if there isn’t a large difference. For this body type you will want to stay away from baggy clothes as they will only make you look even more shapeless. Waist belts are perfect to give the illusion of a smaller waist or just make your waist itself more prominent. Textured clothes with volume will work well with this body shape too.
Pear: Being pear shaped is when your hips are significantly larger than your bust. To even this out you will want to elongate your legs, wearing high waisted jeans etc to avoid appearing stubby. Wearing a push up bra will make your body appear more even and so will wearing crop tops, if you are comfortable with your stomach.
Hourglass: When your hip and bust measurements are the same with a narrow waist. If you have this body shape you will want to do nothing but flatter it! Make sure you get a bra that fits properly with good support because if you have an hourglass figure, chances are you’ll be well endowed and you want to look perky not droopy!
