Always getting your cords misplaced when you’re on the go? Struggling to keep your cords in order? Most of us just toss everything in our handbags so much they end up with a big tangled mess, and we’re wasting precious time to untangle it. We’ve spotted this creative idea on Etsy to create your very own special cord roll. It’s so easy to make and you can personalize them to fit your needs.

These are all the materials you need:

Materials:
– 1/4 yard fake (or real) leather (1 yard = 0.91 meter)
– Snap buttons

Tools:
– Xacto knife
– Metal ruler
– Cutting board
– Pencil

First, draw the shapes based on the illustration given on the back of the fake leather with a pencil. These are not exact scales of the measurement, just a rough idea for you. We recommend to use faux leather materials because they’re easier to cut.

Here’s an idea of what each cord holder will give you:

Small: 2 loops – phone charger, earphones, wall charger for phone

Medium:  4 loops – phone charger, USB cords, headphones, auxiliary cord

Large: 6 loops and more – jambox charger, laptop charger and more!

Use the metal ruler and xacto knife to cut it under a cutting board to get a straight line without scrtching your table. Remember be careful when you do it and to have a proper grip so you don’t hurt yourself. Draw 4 parallel lines with pencil with a total for 4 loops (medium size) and cut small piece to hang your cords.

Use your pencil and draw a little mark where the roll meets the end to add a clip to adjust a snap button. Make sure you do this steps after you’ve arrange your cords in place.

Once it’s done, push and snap the buttons to secure both sides. You may personalize your cord roll by decorating it with different patterns.

Safe heaps of money and make this yourself at home! You can even make these for your friends and family as gifts too!
