It was a sudden shock when we heard that football legend David Beckham has announced his impending retirement plan on Thursday. He says that he will retire when his French team, Paris Saint-German’s season ends May 26.
“I just want people to see me as a hard-working footballer, someone that’s passionate about the game, every time I’ve stepped on a pitch I’ve given everything that I have,” he said after announcing his retirement on Thursday.
“It’s every athlete’s dream, every footballer’s dream to go out on the top — on top form or winning a trophy … leaving as a champion.”
Beckham won enough honors and achievement in his 21-year career although he never lifted the World Cup. He also helped popularize football in the United States, playing with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.
Beckham also appears as an international celebrity, even being featured as a brand spokesperson, charity ambassador, even a hot model too! He models for David Beckham’s bodywear for H&M and even graced the ad campaign for adidas climacool Revolution.
Just because he’s left the football screen, doesn’t mean we will no longer see his sexy eyes. Thank god!
