We all know that breakfast is the most essential meal of the day but how many people in Malaysia do eat breakfast in the morning?
MILO® Malaysia has a long history of corporate social responsibility that has grown and evolved to meet the demands of modern society. MILO® believes that it is responsible for the education of consumers as to the importance of breakfast, as research and studies have confirmed time and again that breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day.
This is where the ‘The MILO® Breakfast Movement’ plays its part. As a committed advocate of balanced breakfast habits, MILO® announced its ambitious goal of encouraging Malaysians to start their day right with a nutritious and balanced breakfast and unveiled a nationwide campaign earlier this year.
As a preamble to ‘The MILO® Breakfast Movement’, one of MILO®’s platforms in reaching out to Malaysians to drive change among Malaysians is through their nationwide on-ground activities namely the “MILO Breakfast Champion” road show at concourse areas and the “MILO Breakfast Movement” at public areas where educational activities are conducted to further instill the importance of breakfast among Malaysians. MILO® has also revamped its famous MILO® energy truck and is reaching out to public areas such as parks, LRT stations and media houses to give out breakfast and to ensure the campaign receives maximum exposure.
MILO will also be championing the Malaysia Breakfast Day – a breakfast gathering in Malaysia to celebrate the breakfast occasion together. The Malaysia Breakfast Day will take place on the 19th of May 2013 at University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and is open to public.
Malaysia Breakfast Day is an effort by MILO to make its mark on Malaysia’s calendar to raise awareness and reinforce the message that breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day. Malaysia Breakfast Day is not just confined to the grounds of UPM on 19th May but the cause can be supported wherever we are. If you’re not within the vicinity of UPM, MILO encourages you to have breakfast anyhow!
Malaysia Breakfast Day will be filled with fun activities such as the Malaysia Breakfast Day Run which consists of a 7km run suited for adults and a 3km run open for family. There will also be various activities from interactive sports games, wellness check-ups and performances. On Malaysia Breakfast Day, a wide variety of Malaysian breakfast will also be served for all.
Fellow Malaysians are highly encouraged to join MILO in celebrating breakfast during this fun and meaningful day on the 19th of May at Universiti Putra Malaysia for the first breakfast gathering in Malaysia!
