R.V. Kalaivanjini was crossing a park in Bukit Tinggi, Klang at 10.30pm on Wednesday night when she stumbled across a girl, who she thought was asleep.
The girl’s eyes were still open and Kalaivanjini realized the little girl could be dead, so she asked a passer-by to call the police. The police arrived 15 minutes later and confirmed the girl’s death.
The police identified the body of the girl as Nur Amyliana Shuhada Mohd Noor, 11, and that she might have been sexually assaulted. Amyliana was believe to have gone missing about noon the same day. Her body was found about 200 meters away.
Nur Amyliana’s sister said her younger sister was playing outside her home while waiting for her elder sister to return with the house keys. However when her elder sister returned, Nur Amylaiana was nowhere to be found. The family had thought that she had gone to play nearby.
The victim’s mother Acha Kusain, 31, revealed a heartbreaking revelation that was expressed by daughter. “She once told me that she would die before I do. I never thought it would come true,” said Acha.
Klang Selatan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Mat Yusop said early investigation fund no apparent injuries on the victim’s body except for some bleeding on her private parts, which suggest that she may have been raped.
Two men were then detained in connection the death of Nur Amyliana. The suspects, aged 19 and 24, were picked up near the crime scene yesterday. The suspects, both Malaysians have been remanded for seven days.
Nur Amyliana’s body has been sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for post-mortem.
