Polling centres across Malaysia have closed its doors at 5pm, and counting of ballots have started at around 5:30pm. According to the Election Commission (EC), about 80% of the close to 13 million registered voters have come out to cast their ballots today. This number is the highest ever in Malaysian electoral history. Despite dissatisfaction over phantom voters and washable ink being voiced out on social media platforms, we are all very excited to find out the results of our country’s 13th General Election.
