Sex is not just for baby-making or pleasure. Although it really is all about the carnal act itself, it’s still part of a healthy lifestyle? Yes, a healthy sex life can give you great health benefits, so don’t miss out on its great benefits.

Working out is exhausting, and if you dread getting on that cross-trainer, don’t forget that sex also counts as an exercise. You can burn from 75 to 100 calories in half an hour, which in reality is pretty impressive. You only burn about 120 calories in 30-minute session of yoga, so it’s safe to say it’s quite equivalent.

2. Sex Puts You in A Better Mood
Orgasms and just the act itself helps increase your estrogen and endorphin levels that’s important to boost your mood. Other than that, you’ll also get better sleep, reduced stress and a beautiful glow that no bronzer or blusher could ever give you.

3. Sex Lets You Sleep Better
Sleep is necessary for the body to be healthy, so having sex often can help you handle your stress better, and eventually your sleeping patterns too. So rest away with some post-sex snooze!

4. Sex Relieves Pain
If your husband wants you to have sex with him when you’ve got a headache, you might want to turn that no into a yes. Endorphins are the body’s natural opiates and sex serves as a powerful analgesic. So take a deep breath and take your man down to funky town!

5. Sex Gives You Amazing Skin
On top of a beautiful glow, sex is also great for a lot of things, and that includes improving your complexion. During sex, your body products a hormone called dehydroepiandrosterone  (DHEA) which boosts your immune system and give you healthier skin. So, you’re entitled to skip you hyped-up skin cream and focus on a 20-minute romp each day.

6. Sex Gives You Healthy Heart
On top of the feel-good sensations, sex gives your heart health in check. Sex is after all, a form of exercise if you think about it. Your heart rate goes up, you sweat and your body releases a million healthy hormones that constitutes a healthy mind and body. A study showed that having sex twice a week can reduce your chances of a heart attack in half! So, what’s stopping you?
