After the epic flash floods that took place in Kuala Lumpur on the 10th of April, came another wrath of rain that flooded the Angkasapuri tunnel on the New Pantai Expressway, followed by flash foods around the Lembah Pantai area too.
A spokesperson from the NPE said that the flash flood caused the tunnel to submerge with the flood waters reaching as high as one meter. “The waters rose rapidly at 5pm when it began to rain heavily”.
He said the flash floods caused massive congestion for motorists heading from Bandar Sunway to Bangsar, but as the water began to recede, one lane was open to traffic. Meanwhile in Jalan Travers, Bangsar, several trees in the surrounding areas were uprooted.
