Bettie Page was an American model who wowed the world in the 1950s for her pin-up photos. She was also deemed to be the “Queen of Pinups” and her signature look was her jet-black hair, blue eyes, beautiful figure and her trademark bangs that has influenced style for so many generations. From 1952 through 1957, Page posed for mail-order prints with pin-up bondage or sadomachistic themes, and grew to be the first successful fetish model.
Also one of the earliest Playmates for Playboy magazine, Bettie was an iconic figure that influenced fashion and sexuality. Considered to be one of the to be the first famous bondage model. Page has influenced a lot women, especially in the Burlesque industry, especially Dita Von Teese, who felt that her career would not have been possible without Page.

In 2005, the Notorious Bettie Page was released depicting the model’s life from the mid-30s to the late 50s. In 2012, an authorized biographical documentary called Bettie Page Reveals All was filmed and premiered. The documentary included narration from Bettie Page herself, and commentary from individuals like Dita Von Teese, Playboy Mogul Hugh Hefner, and Naomi Campbell.
Page has since influenced the world of fashion now since the retro 1950s look is in style. One brand to share Page’s sense of style is Bettie Page Clothing, a brand launched by Russian-born fashion designer Tatyana Khomyakova who was inspired by Bettie Page.
