She was once ‘Legally Blonde’, now she’s legally under arrest. The sweet and adorable Reese Witherspoon was arrested last Friday as she pulled her celebrity status while her husband Jim Toth was getting arrested for a DUI (driving under the influence).
Reese and Jim were cruising around Atlanta early Friday morning, when cops noticed their car was weaving in and out of lanes. The pulled them over and Reese tried to use her celebrity status, telling cops, “Do you know my name?”
The police officer calmly answered “No, I don’t need to know your name”.
Witherspoon responded, “You’re about to find out who I am.. You are going to be on national news”.
Initially, it was Jim who was in trouble because there’s a “strong odor” of alcohol from Jim, and his eyelids were droopy and his eyes were bloodshot and watery. But during Jim’s arrest, Reese demonstrated visual and verbal frustration over how long it took to arrest Jim. She got out of the car but was ordered by the officer to go back inside. She got out the second time and she was arrested for disorderly conduct.
They were both then taken to jail and released a short time later. Well, Reese. You can’t always use your celebrity status to get out of the law. No other celebrities got away with it..
