Election-related information can be hard to get but with Google’s election hub, Malaysian voters can now keep up with the latest information about Malaysia’s 13th General Election.
As election day draw nears, Google is now launching an elections hub at google.com.my/elections where citizens can study, watch, learn about, and participate in the policy issues shaping the campaigns.
The latest elections-related news, search trends and the links to the political parties’ websites and Youtube channels are featured in the election website and users are able to search for real-time election information at ease. The voters can tap into voter information resources compiled from various sources as well.
“Google’s mission is to make information universally accessible and useful to users—and this is definitely true for elections. We want to make sure Malaysians have access to all the information available to them in order to help them make a well-informed decision on election day,” said a Google spokesperson.
In line with Google’s founding vision, Google Election Page organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Google Malaysia also allow citizens to connect and engage directly with candidates through a variety of Google’s platforms including Youtube channels and Google+ Hangouts. The site will remain available as future resource for Malaysian voters.
