So, let’s just say that perhaps sleeping is a piece of art that we should do a lot more often. Well, at least that’s what Tilda Swinton thinks.
According to our source, the 52-year-old British actress took part in a “still life” installation at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. But surprisingly, there isn’t any artwork displaying but herself sleeping in a glass box for the whole day in the famed art gallery.
The art piece known as “The Maybe” will change locations within the museum every time Swinton performs on randomly chosen days. However, this isn’t the first time the piece being staged as she first staged the piece in 1995 at London’s Serpentine Gallery. The piece attracted 22,000 visitors and received a Turner Prize nomination.
The actress will participate in the one-person piece a further six times over the next year, all held in different locations at MOMA.
