First, she was offered to play the main role as Mary Jane in the sequel for “The Amazing Spider Man” and now, Shailene Woodley is reportedly to cast in the film adaption of John Green’s novel “The Fault in Our Stars”!
According to our source, the 21-year-old actress has recently signed on to play the role as Hazel Grace Lancaster in the movie based on John Green’s book. The book has gained a huge following due its unique way of story-telling and it was about Hazel, who falls in love with Gus after meeting at cancer support group.
John Green expressed his excitement for Shailene’s role as Hazel to Entertainment Weekly and said: “It means a lot to me that she is a fan of the book, and I know from our conversations that she has a profound understanding of Hazel. Watching her audition, I felt like Hazel Grace Lancaster was talking to me. It was eerie–and very exciting.”
