When it comes to free stuffs, people can get crazy over them especially when they are limited edition or luxurious. The same logic applies when it comes to promotional items too.
Flip-flops brand Havaianas in Singapore has launched the “Tuesday trade-up” promotion on March 5th that causes quite a stir in Singapore. The crowd made their ways to the all the Havaianas store as they can trade in their old Havaianas with the new one at 50% off or trade in any flip-flop brand with the new one at 40% off.
Due to overwhelmed response, Havaianas Singapore has decided to put the promotion on hold until further notice.
“The overwhelming response has exceeded our allocated stocks,” announced the Havaianas Singapore team on March 8. “Therefore, we are unable to continue the promotion at this time.”
