It was a night of sparkle as Malaysian celebrity guests and iconic women gathered at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur to celebrate women with the inaugural award show Bella Awards 2013 last Saturday.
Before the night of celebration started, members of media had an exclusive meet & greet session with the international superstars including the Indonesian jazz & soul band Maliq & D’Essentials, Indonesian singer Rossa and Irish recording artist and musician Ronan Keating. The night then started out with the celebrities guests and industry hotshots gracing the red carpet while Bella Official Correspondent, Ashley Chan interviewed the guests together with Nazrudin Rahman. Staying true to the theme, the women who graced the red carpet sparkles in their trendy yet elegant gowns while the men suit up and looking edgily cool on the red carpet.
After the red carpet event, the awards show made its grand debut and it was aired LIVE on the national TV from 8.30pm to 10.30pm. Malaysian heartthrob Hans Isaac together with three beautiful ladies from ntv7’s award-winning women’s talkshow, Bella – Daphne Iking, Elaine Daly, and Vanessa Chong were the hosts of the night. Some of the Malaysia’s best including Alex Yoong, Aishah Sinclair, Carmen Soo and many more were invited to present the award to the winners (Check out the winners list HERE!) as well.
The most notable winner of the night was philanthropist Dato’ Ruby Khong as she took home two awards that night including “Bella Heart Award” and “The Bella Award”, which is deemed the highest award for the night. Besides that, Malaysia’s sweetheart Datuk Siti Nurhaliza who has a strong fan base won the hearts of Malaysians once again to take home the “Bella On-stage Award”.
Local artistes Mizz Nina, Joe Flizzow, Darren Ashley, Gary Chaw and The Impatient Sisters along with the international superstars Maliq & D’Essentials, Rossa and Ronan Keating heated up the centre stage of Bella Awards with stunning performances on that special night. The Bella Awards 2013 then ended with a blast on that night as the award show prepared a special birthday celebration for Ronan Keating.
