Beliebers just can’t seem to take a break. When 15-year-old Courtney Barrasford used to Twitter to express her thoughts on Justin Bieber’s new album, Believe Acoustic, it caused a malicious wave of envy among avid Beliebers after Justin retweeted Barrasford’s tweet.
“Not really a fan of Justin Bieber but his acoustic album is really good!” the 15-year-old tweeted.
Just minutes after, Barrasford received hate messages from avid fans, who were obvious not happy that a non-fan sparked the attention of the heartthrob himself.
Courtney spoke out after the backlash she received. She said:
“I came back from a drama class where everyone had been going on about how good Justin Bieber’s acoustic album was. So I went out YouTube to listen to it and then put my comment up on the internet”.
She said her friend sent her a message saying she noticed something on Twitter.
“It wasn’t too bad at first. Some people were saying I was lucky I was retweeted by him and some were jealous. But then it started to get worse as more people found out. I had things like ’you’re not a fan, go kill yourself’.”
“I am a Belieber of him since 2009 and he didn’t notice me. And you’re not even a f***ing fan. You get noticed. OMG”.
“U notice her n she’s not even a fan. I am but you won’t notice me 🙂 Can anyone hear me crying? :’(” (sic) another wrote.
However, not all fans are totally mad. Check out this one adorable Tweet we stumbled upon:
Courtney is warning other social network users to be careful of what they post: “I don’t think these people would say it face-to-face. But it’s still not nice to hear.”
Side note: During Tweet research, our Lipstiq team would rather much take part in a wrestling match than get in a fight with Bieber fans. Beliebers, you are a force to be reckoned with!
