If you live in the city, then you probably know how it feels to be stuck in countless hours of traffic and not forget, randomly taking the wrong turn and getting lost instantly (we’re guilty of that) – but fear not! Thanks for technology and smartphones, you can now find your way around different areas with such easy. We’ve listed down eight different GPS guides that are suited for Androids and iPhones to get you around the city… or other areas too. There are some apps that you have to pay for, and some that are free and just as reliable!

Price: Free
Benefits: With this GPS app, you will have the benefit of an automatic Re-routing as the conditions of the road change. So in other words, you will barely get stuck in traffic. Isn’t that great? It will also find you different routes to take -and it you’re low on petrol, then Waze finds the cheapest petrol stations close by to help you on your route.

4. CoPilot GPS

Benefits: The CoPilot GPS provides up to 3 different alternative directions/routes to your destination, and along with that, you also have a ‘walk mode’ with gives you the routes by foot. Which is perfect if you’re in a new city and want to explore it differently. To help you out on your routes, the CoPilot GPS also sets a couple of Point of interests (POI) for you to look at on your route.

Benefits: With Garmin, there is a preloaded routes in Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei as well as a voice prompted, turn by turn directions navigation including street names. To make it even cleaerer, there is a 3D visual for the building & landmarks. If you get lose, fear not! Garmin has a ‘Where Am I’ emergency locator to show exactly where you are. The best part of this GPS, is the Trip planner, which allows you to create a route with multiple stops in advance with automatic or manual ordering od destinations and also,there is a weather feature that shows the current conditions and a 5-day forecast. We think that’s pretty neat!

6. PAPAGO!
Price: $24.99
Benefits: This PAPAGO! GPS is absolutely user friendly. If you’re the type of person who gets confused easily with all kinds of buttons – then this the GPS to choose. There are several other factors that make it stand out. On of which is the Inside Tunnel Simulation – which is usually when you loose the most signal. But not with PAPAGO! because you don’t even need an internet connect to make it work. It also calculates your routes very fast, which makes it reliable.

Benefits: With this GPS system, you will be navigated from your current position to the destination that you wish to go to. With a choice of 2D or 3D Navigation views. You will be given the exact distance and time it will take you to get to your destination and includes the routes from each turn to turn.

There will be a turn by turn voice guide through out the navigation to your destination and each street will be stated so that you can focus on the roads rather than having to look at the screen at all times. Also, the speed limit is displayed as well as a 3D city & landscape view for easy orientations.
