At Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur, more than 20 children painted their drawings in rich and vibrant colours together with renowned artist, Jake Goh.

The activity was conducted in conjunction with the festivities as Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur’s celebrated with children and families who have benefited from Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur’s ‘A Heart for A Heart’ programme.

The entire event was themed as “Celebration of Life”, where there were painting activities done to honour the resilience of these children.

Jake Goh kick-started the event with a live painting session as children and guests watched him in action. Audience had the opportunity to learn about the techniques involving canvas painting and also pose questions to Goh who was more than happy to answer them. The finished painting will be auctioned much later in the year with proceeds donated to charity.

Following the live painting session, the children participated in a group painting activity along with Jake Goh on a large canvas. Their paintings represented their gratitude for their lives as well as hopes for the future and involved the design of a Sunflower. The final ‘masterpiece’ was greeted with much cheer from the children as they struck a pose for the photographers along with their parents and siblings.

The ‘A Heart for A Heart’ programme was established in 1996 by Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur with the specific purpose of helping families with babies or children born with congenital heart defects.

It was really just a celebration for the kids to enjoy during this festive season.
