This 20 year-old British model is the new up and coming star. Every year, there will always be a model that everyone looks up to. From Kate Moss to Miranda Kerr – it all changes as the popularity sways. This time, it’s Cara Delevingne.
What really sets Cara Delevingne out from the rest are those thick dark eyebrows – no one can pull it off as well as her. Don’t you agree?
She is the face of countless ads – but most famous, she was the star in the Burberry 2011 campaign. Taking after her sister, Poppy Delevigne.
Cara has walked for a dozen over fashion labels during all kinds of shows – including fashion week. She has walked for Clements Ribeiro, Burberry, Louise Goildin – and most recently, Victoria Secret. She has been the face of several ad campaigns not only Burberry, but also, H&M, Asos, Clark Original and even Domonic Jones Jewelry.
As for the editorial world, she has appeared in several magazines, including V Magazine, Wonderland, Numbero and the British, Brazilian and American editions of Vogue.
She’s just a young and fresh face that is exciting about the modeling and fashion world – and if she keeps up, then she definitely will go far. So, what are some quirky facts about this model that you may or may not already know about – well, here’s a few:
1. Model of the year 2012
In November of 2012, Cara was named Model Of The Year at the British Fashion Awards – which is a pretty big thing for a 20-year-old model like her.
2. Alexa Chung is her style icon
Though Cara is a style icon on her own, it doesn’t stop her from admiring the fashion sense of other famous people. She’s always been a fan of Alexa Chung and Coco Sumner’s style. In fact, she told The Telegraph, “They have their own individual style and have remained true to it. I think it’s really important to stay true to yourself.”
3. Mini actress
Back in 2012, Cara took up a small part in the remake of the movie, Anna Karenina – along side Keira Knightley and Jude Law. She starred as Princess Sorokina in this movie. And it was said that she played her role right – as she was suppose to be a jealous woman. Have you seen the movie? If you have, what did you think of her role?
4. She’s a beat boxer
Not only is she a model, but she is a beat boxer too? Yeah! Not just a pretty face after all. She told The Telegraph recently, “I’m a world class Beat Boxer, you should hear the noises I can make with my mouth… I’m also obsessed with drumming and have a massive electric drum kit in my bedroom, i’m drum mad.”
5. Her sister is just as famous as her
It took us awhile to put the pieces together but Cara Delevigne is the younger sister of famous model, Poppy. They are a pretty close knit due too. Cara says, “Poppy has always been so supportive of me. It was strange in the beginning with both of us working in the same industry, but she helped me and is always there for me with advice. It helps that we are similar people.. So we are very close”
