PUMA is collaborating with Undefeated Gametime for a shoe collection that will blow your minds.
The PUMA x Undefeated Gametime pack includes Clydes in five different colours and is inspired by championship winning cities. Each of the designs were done up in a suede and has a city specific lace lock and heel stripe. The different cities that are represented, are: Boston, Miami, New York, LA, and Chicago.
The pack also has the most exclusive gold pair of shoes – but this all-gold PUMA X undefeated Gametime shoe is exclusive for ONE lucky person only.
To give a clearer view on what the entire collection is about, Eddie Cruz from Undefeated explains the inspiration, the significance and the entire idea behind this collaboration. This is what he had to say:
Q: What was the inspiration behind this pack?
A: The PUMA x Undefeated Gametime pack was inspired by successful basketball teams.
Q: What is the significance of the gold promo shoe? Does it represent anything?
A: It’s a homage to the USA winning the gold medal. We did an all gold shoe in the first pack we did with PUMA a few years ago called the 24K pack and it was very well received, and its one that people still ask about today. But it was just a simple way to tie it back into the spirit of USA basketball winning the gold.
Q: Is there any backstory or significance to the materials chosen?
A: I wanted to stay true to the materials used in the classic PUMA Clydes, but added a perforated feature and heel stripe to represent basketball uniforms.
Q: How did you choose the 5 cities that are represented?
A: They are cities with championships.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to mention about the pack that we should be aware of?
A: Undefeated has always been deep rooted in and inspired by sports and the military so it was fun for us to finally do a sports based pack, we had a good time with it.
Now you get the drift of the entire collection – don’t you just want to go grab a pair for yourself?
