In 2010, it was announced that Roger Vivier had chosen to support the Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation… now, in 2013 the partnership continues and it has become a cause that is getting bigger by the day.
The Red Cross’ “Petite Enfance” programme, the Fabrique des sens (Sensory Factory) project has helped develop a sensorial kit to encourage child development through artistic and cultural discovery. More than one thousand children in day care centers have benefited from this program.
This partnership continued in 2011, this time working to help children with multiple disabilities. The project, piloted by the Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation, aims to create sensorial discovery and projection rooms with technological and audiovisual material for children whose severe disabilities mean they will be hospitalized for their entire lives.
What have they been up to during this interesting partnership?
They have developed projects surrounding the San Salvadour hospital in Hyères-Marseille, the La Roche Guyon hospital in Mantes-la-Jolie—under the direction of l’Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), and at the Lapanouse Debré centre for re-education in Anthony. The Centre Lapanouse Debré for re-education in Anthony has been finalized in March 2012 The hospital of San Salvadour has been finalized in June 2012The hospital of Laroche Guyon should be finalized in February 2013. Pretty exciting huh?
The Roger Vivier Maison continues to support The Carla Bruni- Sarkozy foundation: each Prismick shoulder bag sold in the Roger Vivier boutiques worldwide will strengthen the support given by the Maison to the Foundation. The objectives are to continue bring life and joy to the existing centers and to develop and create new sensorial discovery and projection rooms for children with severe disabilities.
