1. Picnic in the park
As cliche as this may sound, it’s still something that is pretty romantic and special for the both of you. Pack some sandwiches a few drinks, a floor mat and head on over to the closest park (KLCC Park would be a good option for you city love-birds). Try to go early in the morning or late evening as the heat may get a little unbearable at some point.
2. One day trip
Pack your stuff and just go anywhere. Go to the closest city to you and just go for the day. Making a spontaneous trip like this will add that little bit of excitement for you both. If you think the place is night, stay the night even. It really depends on you and your hubby.
3. Cooking competition
Set up a date where you both have to prepare a meal for each other. For example, you can be in charge of the main course, and he’ll be in charge of the dessert. Cook it all up in the kitchen together and then have the meal together too. This is an interesting way to get those flames going in your relationship. Plus, it’s the perfect bonding and fun opportunity
4. Game night
It’s time to go old-skool and bring out those board games! Prepare some snacks, a few drinks and try to beat each other at Cluedo or Monopoly – it really depends on your preference. It’s fun, it’s simple and it’s a good way to spend time with each other.
5. Rock climbing
If you’re looking to do something a little more upbeat – then rock climbing may be the thing for you. Book up a session for you both, and rock climb together. It’s a good way to work out as well as test each others trust levels.
6. Take a swing
Head on over to the closest driving range and hit some golf balls! It’s also another good workout and well, it’s nice to feel a little classy once in awhile. To top off the date, be sure that you and your man dress up for the part too! (Golfing outfits are pretty chic!)
7. Amusement Park
Want to feel that extra boost of excitement Then head on over to the closest amusement park and take a try at all the rides. Rollar coasters, teacup spinners, and if there is, head on over to the haunted house for a little spook! We guarantee you and your man will have loads of fun!
8. Gig hopping
Just before Valentine’s Day, check out all the happenings around town and see if there are any bands and events that you can attend. Pick out a few that you and your boyfriend/husband would be interested in and head on over to all of that. Jump from gig to gig and just enjoy the night thoroughly.
9. Bowling
It’s time to bring out that swing and bowl the night away! Set up a little competition with you and your man – for example, the winner gets a special prize at the end of the night (try to make it something worth while) and compete with each other! The little sense of competition will bring that extra bit of excitement.
10. Learn to dance
Book yourselves for a little dancing class. Be it ballroom dancing, tango… or whatever else you’d be interested in. Make sure it’s a type of dance that you both don’t have experience with and that way, it’s like a challenge that you both can take as a couple.
11. Aquarium
Head on over to an aquarium and be amazed by the underwater world! Our suggestion would be Aquaria in KLCC – take a stroll through and enjoy the scenery. The different fishes and underwater creatures will be pretty fascinating for you both.
