If there’s one thing we love about The Las Vegas-based American alternative rock band Imagine Dragons, it is the originality of all the songs in the album that are primarily produced by themselves. On September 2012, the band released their debut studio album “Night Visions” including their hit singles “Hear Me”

Our Review

Even though the album mostly consists of alternative rock and indie rock songs, but surprisingly the opening song of the album is “Radioactive” is dubstep-influenced but that’s the only dubstep-influenced song in the album and it came out perfectly fine to most listeners.

“It’s Time” and “On Top of The World” are both fun and bubbly songs that make you feel happy when you are feeling down. “It’s Time” is definitely the song we wouldn’t get bored listening to and it is definitely the perfect song to play when going out for a road trip. “It’s Time” is also the band’s breakthrough song when it first released in February last year. With the cover of the Glee’s cast and their mysterious yet intriguing music video, this song has gained the number 2 spot on Billboard’s Album Chart.

But we personally think that “On Top of The World” should be the one that would gain them a huge following. The melody of the song is upbeat and it just makes people want to dance along to it. The song also reminded us of Coldplay or One Republic in which the similar techniques were used on the song. We weren’t surprised either when the song was included in the official FIFA 13 soundtrack along with the other well-established artists Passion Pit, LadyHawk, etc.

“Demons” has the beat that makes us feel superior especially when they started to sing the chorus part. While the lyrics hold the deeper translation in it, this song definitely got us hooked at instant. Alongside with “Demons”, “Hear Me” is a song that gives off the laid-back feeling yet it’s easy listening that glide along to the listener’s ears.

Imagine Dragons may not gain a tremendous huge following but we are definitely hoping this band will make its way to become one of the best bands in the world. “Night Visions” is also the album with songs that will fit into the daily lives with the melody that allow our imaginations to flow throughout the day.
