Well, well, well, what do we have here? It looks like the latest bag collection, the Willow collection from British luxury brand Mulberry is set to be the new It-bag in town with the new features on the bag.
Made exclusively in Mulberry’s British factories, Mulberry is no longer using the iconic slouchy satchel styles for the Willow tote bag collection. There has been a shift with the structure and design on the new collection and the new Willow tote bag look effortlessly elegant and classic with the beautiful yet common-sense design.
What’s new on this bag, you say? Well, the most subtle change is that the bag becomes more practical than it used to as it has two multi-wear functions in one style. The structure of the bag now has a built-in detachable envelope clutch attached on the front with side-zips, finished off with the signature postman’s lock.
In lieu with spring summer season, the Willow collection comes in pastel shades including mint and pale pink which gives a softer touch to the bags. The Willow Clutch takes on , oversizing the proportions to fully embrace the simplicity of the shape.
Another interesting fact about the new Willow collection is the collection was named after Mulberry’s second home factory, The Willows, which will open in Somerset in late 2013. The timeless leather bag was crafted at finest with its new shape, style and detailing at the Mulberry’s British factories.
When we say the Willow collection could be the next It-bag, this new tote bag is going to be a classic because a lot of celebrities were seen carrying the Willow tote bags. Mulberry muse, Kate Moss was seen carrying the Willow black tote bag during Fashion Week too when the collection first unveiled in Mulberry’s Spring Summer 2013 show in September 2012. Other celebrity fans including Kate Mara and Andrea Riseborough were seen holding the different colours of clutch from the collection as well.
