Hold on tight to your David Beckham cravings just a little longer until the 6th of February, because that’s the date to catch the worldwide debut of the new David Beckham Bodywear for H&M campaign, featuring Mr Beckham himself.
One of the many special features of the ad is that it is directed by film genius, Guy Ritchie. The English screenwriter, film director and producer, is best known for his directing hit action flicks like Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Sherlock Holmes. “David is the perfect leading man,” says Guy Ritchie. “For me, this felt like more than a campaign – it was like directing a short film”.
The tongue-in-cheek campaign follows David being chased through the neighborhood of Beverly Hills, only wearing his boxer briefs. “Working with Guy has been a fantastic experience,” said David. “I hope everyone has much fun watching the film as I had making it.”
The new David Beckham Bodywear for H&M offers a new range of colors that echo the action hero theme of the short, with dark naves, reds and utility greens. But if you don’t have anyone special to wear it for you on Valentine’s Day, we don’t blame if you end up replaying the upcoming video over and over!
Since we’re only a few days away from the debut of the video, let’s have a look at some of the sexy (and sneaky) behind-the-shots of the new campaign:
