Just when we thought BB cream could be the best product ever invented, the beauty industry is giving us another pleasant surprise. Looks like BB cream needs to take a step down from its pedestal, as the CC cream is taking the its place, driving women wild with the CC-craze. The CC cream has yet to become a trend across the globe yet but we are expecting it will soon become the top beauty trend in 2013. (Source)
So far what we know about CC cream (color control cream) is basically the next generation of the BB cream, providing better coverage and more refining ingredients. While the BB cream was developed to even out our skin tone and correct blemishes, CC cream was said to blend in with the skin tone better than BB creams, that can sometimes appear too light on darker tones.
In a way, the CC cream provides a more natural and refined look for our skin without looking like pale or plastered. Just like the BB cream, the CC cream also comes with high SPF levels that protect our skin from sunlight with the damaging UVA and UVB rays. And the last thing we want is to have oily skin, but CC cream also provides us the non-oily and moisturizing effects to our skin. It is comfortable to apply on and it left our skin soft and smooth to touch.
So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to everyone when it was announced that the 3-in- 1CC cream is not available at every major beauty outlets in Malaysia yet but it was first released in 2011 by Rachel K Cosmetics and Wei Beauty. However, CHANEL has launched its own CC Cream on the most popular Asia market which includes Taiwan, China, and South Korea. In the United States, the first North American CC cream was released last Fall by Olay.
