Let’s face it. We all have that terrible eyebrow-moments that makes us all cringe in fear or just want to dig up a hole and hide our face. It can be embarrassing and increases our levels of insecurity. To get the perfect pair of eyebrows, some of us would leave it to the professionals but most of us stick with plucking and trimming our own eyebrows.
However, without the right guidance, the eyebrows always ended up looking oddly-shaped that makes you look older than you were. We don’t want you to end up looking like Voldemort or Crayon Shinchan because that would be very mean of us. So, we thought of passing our wisdom along and guide you through the 5 steps to perfect eyebrows!
1. Identify your face shape
Just like how you choose the perfect pair of sunglasses, face shape often determines how the other parts should look like so that they are in great shape. A low or flat arch is the perfect eyebrow shape for long face. A high, rounded arch for the heart-shaped face while a high, peaked arch for the round face. A square face should go for thicker eyebrow to balance the width of the face and an oval face can handle most kind of eyebrows.
2. Shape your eyebrow by simply following the golden ratios.
The golden ratio of good eyebrows is to find the starting point and stopping point for your eyebrows. No matter how you think your eyebrows are in good shape, the excess stray hairs must be removed in order to achieve the clean look. If you have thick eyebrows, brush the brows straight up and cut off any hairs that is above the desired shape.
3. Fill in the eyebrows
Get a eyebrows liner and draw a line along the bottom edge of your brow. Begin filling in the rest of the brows above the line and make sure it’s not out of the desired shape. Fill them gently and make sure it doesn’t look too thick nor too thin.
4. Proportioned Eyebrows.
If you have already done shaping one side of your eyebrows, make sure the other side of your eyebrows is in the same shape with it. Check the whole face before plucking the eyebrows. Fill in the other side of your brows in the desired shape.
5. Daily maintenance
As hairs can grow pretty quick by itself, it is important to keep up this routine to maintain the perfect eyebrows. It will lost its shape if the brows were not maintained daily and you will need to reshape the brows again.
