Pedro Spring Summer 2013 – Exuberant Empanations
Pedro’s Spring Summer 2013 collection combines an expressive palette with contemporary pieces, resulting in brilliant sartorial statements of luxury against splendid ocean of blues.
The ladies collection is exceptionally rich in color of perfect vibrancy from blue, red and yellow, highlighting accents of neon whilst neutral tones of nude and beige. The collection exhumes haute chic style, with enthralling butterfly prints and snake embossing over genuine leather and denim.
The men’s collection on the other hand, is multifaceted in a vivid and bold color palette like shades of orange, turquoise and blue with highlights of neon, in exquisite materials like genuine calf leather, suede and denim. The classic loafer is also given a new lease on if with tassels, while moccasins are given hints of contemporary fashion with hints of fringed elements and snake embossing.
“Star Studs” for Jimmy Choo Spring/Summer 2013 Eyewear Collection
Jimmy Choo Spring/Summer 2013 eyewear collection celebrates the brand’s spirit of luxury with the ‘Star Studs’ sunglasses and optical frames this season. The 80’s inspired square-shaped acetate frames are embellished with signature metal ‘star studs’ that embody a touch of rock ‘n’ roll glamour. The SASHA comes in four colors – Black and Powder with shaded gray lenses, Havana and Fuchsia with shaded brown lenses. The collection will be available at Jimmy Choo boutiques, high-end opticians and quality department stores starting January 2013.
UNIQLO to Open in Queensbay Mall, Penang
2013 will be a blast for Penangites as UNIQLO is bringing their high quality fashion items to Queensbay Mall in March 2013. Their maiden store in Queensbay Mall is situated at the first floor, approximately 18,000 sq ft. According to Mr. Satoshi Onoguchi, Managing Director of UNIQLO (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and UNIQLO (Singapore) Pte.Ltd. said, “Queensbay Mall is the current largest and longest shopping mall in Penang. It is a prime location that is perfect for us to increase accessibility for UNIQLO fans, where we will be able to showcase our complete set of fashion items to families in the area”.
The Queensbay Mall store will showcase a full range of UNIQLO’s latest fashion lines for men and women, including children and babies collection.
Polaroid Eyewear Celebrates 75 Years
Polaroid Eyewear recently celebrated its 75th Anniversary at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Guests included personalities such as Leigh Lezark, Whitney Port, Adam Driver and Carson Kressley, and special performance by DJ trio “The Misshapes”.
Guests were also treated to a interactive look into the brand’s technology, heritage and innovation, while being introduced to the how Polaroid Eyewear is progressing into the future. The new Polaroid Plus collection, which will be on sale from Spring 2013, was also unveiled at the event. The Polaroid Plus Sunglasses combines the latest results in polarization technology with a brand new style designed for a minimal yet urban look.
IWC Schaffhausen Named the Official ‘Festival-Time’ Partner of the Tribeca Film Festival
Swiss watch manufacturer, IWC Schaffhausen was recently named the new official ‘Festival-Time’ partner of the Tribeca Film Festival, to underline its passion for filmmaking.
President and Chief Operating Officer of Tribeca Enterprises Jon Patricof said, “The Tribeca Film Festival has an international reputation for supporting new and established filmmakers. We are proud to have paired up with IWC given their long-standing commitments to quality craftsmanship and the arts”. Georges Kern, CEO of IWC Schaffhausen, said, “We’ve been involved in the film business for years now and are delighted to be the Official ‘Festival-Time’ Partner for the Tribeca Film Festival. The Tribeca Film Festival has screened over 1,400 films from over 80 countries since its first edition, and has attracted an international audience of more than 4 million, while generating an estimated 750 million US dollars in economic activity for New York City.
