It’s that time of the year to gather your friends around to indulge in a few Christmas flicks. From rom-coms to festive classics, we’re sharing our top eight picks for you to laugh and cry with your friends and family!

Love, Actually

The perfect romantic comedy that tells the story of eight couples and their lives that lead up to Christmas. Starring some of most memorable British faces like Keira Knightly, Hugh Grant, and more, the Love, Actually is a heart-warming film that will surely get you in tears of joy.

Home Alone

This 90’s classic movie stars a very young MacCauley Culkin who is left home by accident during Christmas and takes down two robbers at home. Watch him whip up some genius moves to keep the robbers from robbing his home.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

The sequel to this Christmas classic leaves MacCauley Culkin in the same situation as the year before, except that he takes the wrong flight and ends up in New York. With his father’s credit card at hand, he indulges in the city lights of New York, but bad news comes when the two crooks from the first film makes a visit.

 Elf

Elf stars the very funny Will Ferrell as a man who was raised as an elf in the North Pole but gets into trouble all the time due to his size. He is then sent back to the human world to find his true identity. Let’s not forget that it also stars a very blonde Zooey Deschanel.

Four Christmases

Four Christmases is a hilarious rom-com that tells the story of a couple who has to visit four of their divorced parents on Christmas. A recipe for disaster? You’ll have to watch it to find out.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

The tale of the Grinch is a Dr. Seuss classic. The movie stars Jim Carrey, a grumpy creature covered in green and fuzz, who intends to steal Christmas entirely.

Bridget Jones’ Diary

Although Bridget Jones’ Diary isn’t really a Christmas movie on its own, we simply cannot forget that scene where she spends Christmas on her own at home. Not something to glorify or look up to, but it’s still a heart-warming film filled with laughter, some naughty bits and love.

The Holiday

What would you do if you could swap your lives with another person, in another country? In The Holiday, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz are sick and tired of their relationship problems and decide to swap their lives, living in each other’s countries, and soon fall in love with a local man.
