In Hollywood, it’s all about the breakups and the make ups, ,and sometimes, some breakups take up a lot of space in the tabloids. We’re taking a look at the most shocking and most talked about celebrity break ups that have happened in the year of 2012.

1. Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes
This breakup tops to the list of all break ups in the history of Hollywood breakups…. really, it does. The moment anyone found out that Tom Cruise and Katie Homes were calling it quits, it’s as if the world had stopped for a moment. Though, we did think their divorce was going to be all kinds of messy, it turned out to be one of the least dramatic divorces in Hollywood. That’s pretty impressive.
2. Heidi Klum & Seal
Here was a another Hollywood shocker. We think you can agree that Heidi Klum and Seals marriage was once to look up to. They have kids together, then are close, and they seem like they understood each other. After being together for over seven years, the couple filed for divorce and thats when all kinds of truth came out.
3. Debra Messing & Daniel Zelman
After 10 years together, the couple split up and that was that. Luckly for them, it’s not as messy and not as disturous as most Hollywood breakups go.
4. Adam Levine & Anne V
We bet some of you are thinking that this wasn’t a ‘shocking’ break up, but it was a ‘happy’ one? Well, we were pretty surprised that it all went downhill for this couple. Everyone was already ‘aww-ing’ over them after their little stunt of PDA on the previous Victoria’s Secret fashion show and then, boom… there goes their relationship. They called it quits earlier in the year, and soon after Adam Levine moved on to another VS angel… well, we’re not surprised about that part.
5. Katy Perry & Russell Brand
There was just something about Katy Perry and Russell Brand that seemed so right for each other… and then after 14 months of marriage, they pulled out the divorce papers. Though there was a little drama here and their in the process of their divorce, it looks like both of them have moved on peacefully.
6. Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez
It was already shocking that this couple got together AND stayed together for as long as they did (two years, if we’re not mistaken) but when the couple called it quits, we didn’t know what to think. Well, right now, it’s not even confirmed if they are still broken up or back together… that’s the thing about teenage couples, they have different way of dealing with it all.
