Recycling at its best, Nestle Malaysia Berhad and Tetra Oak Malaysia Sdn Bhd have launched The CAREton project. Basically the project is to educate the recycling habit to everyone and this will be their 3rd year in a row that Nestle and Tetra Pak have collaborated together. What’s cool about this project is that they will be collecting cartons to be recycled and make into 10,00 schoolbooks and 100 sets of furniture, which will be donated to the Dignity for Children Foundation. Not only you’re recycling for the world, but at the same time you’re helping the foundation. Double the goodness right?
Last year, both Nestle and Tetra Pak produced Reverse Vending Machine (RVM), a machine to collect used beverage cartons. It has been placed in 14 retail outlets and 5 schools- Now, the one-of-a-kind vending machines are now in 20 schools in Klang Valley to help the children in recycling. We just think this is a good project for kids and also the country, don’t you? AEON Bhd will be supporting The CAREton Project and also the 20 lucky schools for this year’s Reverse Vending Machine Project.
For those who are interested and would like to take part, starting from 10 November 2012 until 28 February 2013, head to CAREton collection drive counters at the five participating AEON outlets in Bandar Baru Klang, Bukit Tinggi, Taman Equine, Taman Maluri and Cheras Selatan and join Tetra Pak and Nestlé in making this project a success. Alternatively, you can either call The Recycle & Reward Hotline +6014 239 7037 for door-to-door pick up of used beverage cartons or drop it off at your nearest Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation recycling centre.
