1. Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale may look amazing in a tight leather bodysuit, but her mind is equally as sexy. The English Underworld actress was involved in the Oxford University Dramatic Society, studied French and Russian literature at Oxford, and even won the W.H. Smith Young Writers competition twice with short stories and poems. We’ll certainly look forward to a couple of books if she choses to retire from acting!
2. Sharon Stone
At 54 years old, Sharon Stone is still one of the most attractive celebrities out there. Best known for the role in Basic Instinct, Sharon was also the face of Dior, and an award winning actress. But did you know, that before became one of the hottest women out there, she actually enrolled in Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at the age of 15? We kid you not! The actress has an I.Q. of 148 and is a member of Mensa, the oldest and largest high I.Q. in the world. Talk about nailing both beauty and brains!
3. Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman is the perfect epitome of a successful woman with both beauty and brains. She graduated from Harvard with a degree in Psychology. In the spring of 2004, Natalia took graduate courses at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and in 2006, she became a guest lecturer at Columbia University course in terrorism and counter-terroism, where she also spoke about her film V for Vendetta. She also studied numerous foreign languages like French, Japanese, German and Arabic, and even co-authored numerous scientific research papers. Obviously, this actress is more than a pretty face. She told the New York Post that if being educated ruins her acting career, and that she’d rather be smart than a movie star. A definite icon, this one!
4. James Franco
The handsome James Franco is also an intellectual actor himself. He initially enrolled at UCLA as an English major but dropped out to pursue a career in acting. However, as he then reenrolled at UCLA in 2006 as an English major again with a creative writing concentration. It may appear that James is one of the few actors to pursue his education to improve his career in acting. He attended graduate school in Columbia University, New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts for filmmaking and Brooklyn College for fiction writing, and also studied poetry at North Carolina’s Warren Wilson College. He is currently a PhD student in English at Yale University.
5. Cindy Crawford
Cindy Crawford is one of the most important supermodels in the history of fashion. Her trademark mole and amazing curves still puts her at the top of hottest list of women! Although she isn’t a degree holder, Cindy was certainly a brainy one before setting foot into the world of modeling. She earned a full 4.0 CGPA in high school and was valedictorian of her class. She even received a full academic scholarship at Northwestern University to study chemical engineering. Even if she didn’t pursue a career in modeling, we’d still think of her as the hottest female scientist ever!
