The Savoy Theater in London today was graced by the presence of numerous talented and stylish stars as the 2012 British Fashion Awards took place!
Hosted by actress Gemma Arterton and British presenter Nick Grimshaow, the event served as an opportunity for the fashion industry to celebrate and promote the sensational creative talents in the UK.
British designer, Stella McCartney took home both Designer Brand and Designer of the Year award; no surprise there as The British Fashion Council said both awards “recognize a momentous year for the designer, through her achievements in the fashion industry and her contribution to TEAM GB in 2012”.
Other award winners were Alexa Chung, who picked up the British Style Award for the third year running, beating the likes of Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham. Cara Delevigne was crowned Model of the Year, while Roksanda Illincic received the Red Carpet Award, which Stella McCartney won last year.
Shoe-designer, Manolo Blahnik nabbed the Outstanding Achievement in Fashion award, who was also awarded Accessory Designer of the Year award three times before.

In true award fashion, here’s a recap of what the stars wore on the red carpet:
1. Burlesque star, Dita Von Teese kept it clean and chic in a tight black dress with her signature red lips, pin curls and eyeliner.
2. Pixie Geldof definitely brightened up the red carpet in her bright orange full-skirted ensemble.
3. Rita Ora definitely gets our votes for the best dressed at the event as she rocks this strapless ice-blue number by Vivienne Westwood.
4. Lily Collins personified vampy-chic in this black Mulberry gown with leather trimmed details with dark bordeaux lips.
5. A very pregnant Lily Cooper shows off her beautiful baby bump in an elegant midnight blue gown.
6. Supermodel Amber Valletta chose a dramatic burnt orange gown by Stella McCartney for the show, and we have to say, from head to toe, her outfit is absolutely perfect!
7. Alexa Chung, winner of this year’s British Style Award for the third time collected her prize in a cute little embroidered dress. But look at those shoes! Aren’t they off the hook?
8. Sizzling hot Latina, Salma Hayek presented the Designer of the Year award to Stella McCartney in of course, a fringed number by Stella McCartney.
9. Princess Beatrice represented British charm in a dark blue floral dress by Erdem.
10. Host of the 2012 BFA, Gemma Arterton looks pretty darn amazing in this androgynous jumpsuit by Stella McCartney that truly flaunts her beautiful curves.
11.English fashion model, Amber Le Bon also channeled her British roots in a floral print dress, also by Designer of the Year, Stella McCartney.
12. Carrie Bradshaw-approved shoe king, Manolo Blahnik, looking classic and dapper for accepting the British Fashion Awards’ prestigious 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award.
13. Winner of the Model of the Year Award, Cara Delevingne, accepts her award in this metallic green mini dress by Burberry. Cara is truly deserving of that award because metallic green is not an easy color to pull off!
14. Actress and singer, Josephine de la Baume marries vintage chic with aquatic fantasy in this aqua blue lace dress by Richard Nicoll.
15. British model and presenter, Jade Parfitt rocks the red carpet in this very artistic gown that’s sure to turn heads. We love the simplicity of her hair and makeup too!
