Not everyone’s a makeup pro by birth, and going through all the glossy makeup features on magazines, they can seem a little overwhelming and you may sometimes be left a little confused. So, to keep you safe from getting your face into a mess, we’ve compiled a few simple guidelines that you should abide to if you’d like to get a little experimental with makeup!
MAKEUP DO’S
DO keep it simple on a casual day out with a tinted lip balm and cheek stain.
DO invest in bronzer and illuminating powder to help highlight your features. It will help slim your face down a little and make you look more polished.
DO carry a classic red lipstick in your purse at all times. You never know when you might need it.
DO get foundation that is your exactly your skin tone. Head to a professional makeup counter and let a professional help you find the perfect color for your skin tone.
DO use brown eyeliner instead of black as it helps give natural emphasis to your eyes.

MAKEUP DON’TS
DON’T wear false eyelashes to the office. They’re tacky for the workplace and might just send the wrong message when you’re in the middle of a big meeting.
DON’T overdo your makeup. If you’re pulling off a classic red lip or a bold lip color, keep the eye makeup simple with just a coat of mascara and a thin minute cat-eye.
DON’T get carried away when plucking your eyebrows. Eyebrows that are too thin or too can make you look a lot older than you really are.
DON’T apply too much blush. Start with a little to just give your cheeks a simple pop of color.
DON’T wear smokey eye makeup to outdoor events or you’ll end up looking like a raccoon.
