Cast: Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Rebel Wilson,Alexis Knapp, Adam DeVine, Freddie Stroma
Directed by: Jason Moore

When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of the cutthroat world of college a cappella.  This could wind up either the coolest thing they’ll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a little of both.

Loaded with new takes on old favorites to hits of right now that are seamlessly mixed together, mashed-up and arranged like you’ve never heard before, Pitch Perfect is directed by Jason Moore, who opened our eyes to the very misbehaved life of puppets in the surprise Broadway sensation Avenue Q.

Our review

It’s quirky it’s fun and it’s an all-round entertaining movie.

Are you in that mood for a light movie that’ll give you giggles and make you blush just a little bit? Pitch Perfect will do just the trick! There’s just something about watching this movie that’ll hit you in a happier note –  in fact, we guarantee that after you watch this movie – you’ll get at least one song stuck in your head.

All in all, Pitch Perfect is your typical chick flick – with a little romance and conflict between the girlfriends. The ‘lovey-dovey’ moments will definitely get you a little giggly and blush (that’s how we reacted at least).

If you’re a little skeptical about musicals or something Glee-like (we have nothing against Glee)- fret not, we were too. But when we watch this, we found ourselves singing along to some of the tunes. The movie was set in a Accapella theme – where they have to compete in a Accapella singing competitions – doing the usual performances on stage, so there was no random outbursts of singing in a school corridor or anything like that. The singing in this movie was kept pretty much to the stage.

We were also looking forward to all the kind of jokes that Rebel Wilson would say through out the show – and we were not disappointed. It definitely got our muscles sore from laughing so hard.  Not only that – we were surprised and mesmerized by  the voice that Anna Kendrick holds! We didn’t see it coming, but we were definitely happy with what we heard.

When watch Pitch Perfect – there’s is not a single dull moment. It’s all fun, laughter and ‘awws’!
